Therapy is just one piece of the puzzle, so we strive to provide treatment strategies that can be integrated in the home and other environments. A child may benefit from skilled intervention if he or she demonstrates: · Delayed gross or fine motor skills, such as: - balance challenges. - motor planning and coordination difficulties. - limited bilateral skills. - difficulty with postural control and strength. - difficulty with hand strength and manipulation skills. - limited visual motor and visual perceptual skills. - functional movement challenges.
· Speech or language delays, such as - difficulty producing speech sounds. - difficulty discriminating speech sounds. - difficulty expressing wants and needs. - difficulty with understanding language concepts. - difficulty following directions. - difficulty interacting with peers. - difficulty answering questions.
· Intolerance of sensory input or high sensory seekers. · Delayed or inappropriate play or social skills. · Limited food preferences or picky eaters. · Handwriting difficulties. · Other delayed age-appropriate skills
